What is Out of Sight Solutions?

Out of Sight Solutions started in late 2023 while I was a college student looking for a way to bring some of my ideas to life. What began with a simple Magpul grip insert quickly turned into a growing catalog of grips, rail covers, storage solutions, and other accessories.

Out of Sight Solutions was created to innovate and deliver unique, practical solutions that stand out from the rest. Whether it's a problem I've personally encountered, feedback from customers, or something I've seen discussed online, I'm always looking for ways to improve existing products or create something entirely new.

A big part of OSS is additive manufacturing. Using both polymer and metal 3D printing allows me to design, prototype, test, and refine products quickly without the tooling costs of traditional manufacturing. Those savings are passed directly to customers, allowing me to offer unique products at prices that are often lower than both traditionally manufactured alternatives and many competing products.

What you see on the site is only a small fraction of what gets designed. For every product that makes it into production, there are usually dozens of prototypes, failed ideas, and design revisions behind it. I'm constantly testing new concepts, refining existing products, and looking for ways to make good products even better.

At its core, OSS is about taking products people already know and use, finding opportunities to improve them, and adding a unique feature, function, or design that makes them stand out while remaining practical and affordable.

Why Out of Sight Solutions?

The truth is, most of the products I make already have alternatives on the market.

A grip is still a grip. A rail cover is still a rail cover.

OSS was never created because I thought I had all the answers or because every existing product needed to be replaced. It was created because I enjoy looking at existing products and asking, "How could this be different?" Sometimes that means improving functionality. Sometimes it means adding a feature I wish existed. Sometimes it's simply creating something with a unique look that stands apart from everything else on the market.

Not every idea works. Most don't.

For every product you see on the website, there are dozens of prototypes, failed concepts, and design revisions that never made the cut. The goal isn't to release as many products as possible. The goal is to create products that offer value, solve a problem, or bring something different to the table.

At the end of the day, I think people should buy what works for them and what they genuinely like. There are a lot of great products and companies in this industry. If one of my products happens to be the one that fits your needs, your budget, or simply your style a little better than the alternatives, then I've done my job.

Are OSS products the only answer? No. Are they a little different? Absolutely.

Who is Out of Sight Solutions?

Most of my free time revolves around building, designing, testing, or improving something.

I'm a recent college graduate and currently work as a Mechanical Engineer. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work on additive manufacturing projects supporting the U.S. Navy, spend time in machine shops, and work in product design roles. Those experiences gave me a better understanding of manufacturing, product development, and what makes a product worth owning in the first place.

When I'm not working on OSS, you'll usually find me at the range, working on cars, mountain biking, or spending time with friends and family. More recently I've become heavily involved in USPSA and PCSL 2-Gun competition. It's one of the best ways I've found to evaluate products and ideas in an environment where performance matters and weaknesses show up quickly.

These days I'm running my own build featuring the OSS Flow 10.9" rail, IRS (Integrated Riser Stock), and a full suite of OSS accessories. Using my own products regularly, along with feedback from customers, plays a major role in shaping future designs and improvements.

I've never been interested in making copies of what's already popular. The goal has always been to take good ideas, improve them, add something unique, and create products that are practical, affordable, and different from everything else on the market.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about OSS.

What started as a college side project has grown into something I spend a huge portion of my time thinking about, designing for, and working on. Every order allows me to keep experimenting, testing new ideas, refining existing products, and investing back into better equipment and manufacturing capabilities.

One of the most rewarding parts of running OSS is seeing products I've designed end up on other people's builds. Whether it's a grip, rail cover, handstop, or something entirely new, it's always cool seeing customers make those products their own and is why I keep this going.

There are plenty of ideas currently sitting on my computer, workbench, or printer that may eventually make their way to the website. Some will work, some won't, but that's part of the process.

For now, I'll keep designing, testing, and trying to create products that are practical, affordable, and a little different from everything else out there.

Built to be different.
